I have been using EAS Myoplex off and on for many years. Each time I have used it I did achieve great results feeling stronger and healthier. In 2010, Consumer Reports came out with an article about heavy metal content of the shake which was beyond the suggested healthy limits. Abbott Labs responded to the article not by denying there was heavy metal in the milkshake, but by stating the amounts of the metal would not reach the limits when taken with only two shakes a day. To me, this was an unacceptable response.

Consumer Reports tested 15 milkshakes and came up with 3 which they felt had very high heavy metal content and EAS Myoplex was one of them. My suggestion is to find another milkshake.

I blend one of these for lunch with water and strawberries on the days I hit the gym for an extended period of time (3 to 4 times a week). This is a great tasting, thick shake with a very good chocolate flavor – like drinking an ice cream shake. It’s a great way to get lean protein (87% of your daily value for one packet) and it fills you up for quite a long time, with lower calories and only 3 grams of fat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
