This is my favorite protein. It tastes great specially compared to a lot of other brands, just like previous reviews its not to sweet or overwhelming. I saw a review that said its hard to mix, most protein is hard to mix with a spoon and this is certainly not any easier or harder than any other shakes I have used. I recommend using a mixing glass which you can find on amazon for under 8 bucks, these mixing glasses typically have a mixing ball or some type of mixing mechanism that helps blend together your shake or other drinks when shaken. If you want to go a step further use a blender and add strawberries, bananas, ice, eggs, nuts or any other healthy add on for flavor or additional protein. I personally use a magic bullet or a blender when at home if I’m out at the gym I use a mixing glass. Remember protein is at its most effective when taken within 30 minutes of your workout, not before, but right after and when taken with glutamine pills which help your body break down and absorb protein.

After years of using an wide array of protein supplements I tried Isopure and never went back to Weider, Myoplex, GNC or any of the other supplements I’d tried. Few, if any, of these supplements are FDA regulated, (aside from certain safety standards {?}), leaving an opening for inflation of the stated amounts of nutrients the manufacturer(s) claim. That leaves a huge gray area in determining which brand fuels muscle growth “better”. The only way to tell is to try different ones over the course of months & years. Then there are other, less important, (at least to me), factors like: how well it mixes, how it tastes, packaging, shelf life etc. This product has been, by far, the best no-carb protein mix for me. It costs twice what the cheap whey proteins cost but I don’t mind paying the price when I’ve seen much better results, taste and ease of use with the Isopure. I’ve tried all the flavors and like the Cookies & Cream or vanilla flavors as they’re more neutral and allow for some creativity by mixing this into, let’s say: pancake mix, skim-milk banana shakes, yogurt smoothies etc. Bottom line, it’s good stuff.

I’ve enjoyed using the cookies & cream flavored protein powder. It doesn’t give me stomach cramps like other powdered supplements out in the market. Definitely will try other flavors, but I know I can always fall back on C&C and not be disappointed.

    Side notes:

Putting a teaspoon of cocoa makes it into a delish chocolate cookie and cream delight. I’ve even experimented mixing 1/2 a can of organic pumpkin with a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg — YUM.

The only downside is that you won’t want to mix any fruit with it. Gross.
