    Miracle in a bottle!, July 6, 2011

Although this has sunscreen in it, I’ve been using it at night. I’ve been told you should use a good moisturizer with retinol at night when your body is actively repairing itself. I’ve been using this for only four days and the results are unbelievable!

I have very fair, sensitive skin with large pores and a lot of redness, especially on my nose. I also have a lot of sun spots, especially near the corners of my eyes and above my upper lip. I think those will be the toughest fix, and I’ve seen only a slight improvement in them (like I say, it’s only been 4 days).

The reason I was in such a rush to write this review is because the redness and large pores have been reduced SIGNIFICANTLY – something I never expected and had just learned to live with. My skin is also much smoother looking and feeling, with a noticeable improvement in fine lines already. My skin hasn’t looked this good in years! Did I mention it’s been 4 days?!

Update (11/5/11): When this bottle was gone, I tried RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream based on the glowing reviews. I was not impressed and have since gone back to this product.

Feels really good on my skin, March 8, 2009

My 57-year-old skin is very sensitive and VERY dry. I’ve never liked to use creams on my face because they either sit there on the surface or feel greasy or are too smelly or get in my eyes or break my face out. This Neutrogena moisturizer does none of the above.

When I first put it on my face, my skin literally felt grateful; I don’t know how else to say it. There was no heavy odor, and my skin drank the moisturizer in like it was dying of thirst. It probably was! The first night, I kept putting on more until I felt my skin had had enough. After that, I’ve smoothed on just a little each night before bed. It goes on light but is not a lightweight moisturizer by any means.

I didn’t want to review this product until I’d used it a few weeks, and now that I have I’ve got to say I absolutely love it. My face looks brighter, my skin feels good, and yet it’s like I don’t have anything on my face. It’s like my own skin, but 20+ years younger. I don’t wear makeup, so I don’t know how makeup would do on top of this, but I can’t imagine it would do anything but improve your appearance.

    Highly recommended product.

I have dry and very sensitive skin, and not many skin creams work for me; Neutrogena’s Continuous Hydration Ageless Essentials is a good match for my skin, but not for night use. I would need something much heavier to last the night. It is great for daytime, excellent under makeup, and seems to visibly smooth out my skin and leave it with a nice feel.

The consistency is very light and almost has a “whipped” look to it, and the first time I slathered it on my face and neck it was absorbed in seconds. The second (or even third) coat seems to be necessary for me, in order to last through several hours of wear. It has a pleasant aroma, and I especially love it on my neck and upper chest area, which soaks it up like a sponge.

Well worth having if you like to vary your face creams and try something new, but don’t expect it to be a thick night cream. Light and lovely it is, for thirsty skin in a world where your skin, because of pollution, etc. needs constant tender loving care.
