Before buying this product I had many questions but no answers so I’ve decided to write this review in a Q&A format.
Q1. How should this be mixed?
A1. I mix in a mixer, I divide the one giant scoop into 2, add ice and mix and the result is amazing. Two glasses of amazing instantly active protein.
Q2. How does it taste?
A2. It tastes fine, definitely has more sugar than Pro Complex but not as much as Syntha 6 and has an overall slightly fuller feeling than say Pro Complex. Owing to this increase in sugar content, I sip the protein a little slower. It’s also thicker so try to experiment with how much water. THIS IS NOT A MEAL REPLACEMENT protein and tends to get absorbed easily
Q3. How does this differ from Pro Complex?
A3. Pro Complex is an amazing product but I needed something more to up the ante. I do P90X and was not always able to complete all workouts, I’d run out of gas so I said why not try this product and trust me, I WAS SURPRISED at how powerful and energized I felt “at the end” of workouts. Not only am I not getting exhausted before finishing the workout, I am energized and refreshed at the end of the work out. Increase in energy over Pro Complex, increase in stamina, FASTEST RECOVERY, I don’t skip days now unless the workout regime recommends it. It helped me pack muscle and made me more attentive at my workout.
Q4. Was this positive experience a case of beginner’s luck?
A4. I ordered a 2lb box and only recently ordered a 5lb box. I noticed a definite increase in my body’s speed of recovery. I am quarter way done with my 5 pound box and so far I have absolutely no complaints.
Yes, Hydrobuilder costs more than Syntha 6 or Pro Complex, but no protein has surprised me as much as this. It’s overall the best powder I’ve tried. I would buy it again and again. I try not to skip gym on most days but I’m going away for a week now and it remains to be seen what will happen when Im away from this product and my workout.
Q5. Results so far..?
A5. More energy at gym, more definition, more lean muscle, now finally at 28 my biceps and triceps are in the best shape they have ever been in.
No excuses, just results.

HydroBuilder – Great Post-Workout,
I love this product. I switched from my normal whey protein post-workout to ON’s Hydrobuilder. Not only does the chocolate taste delicious, but it conveniently has everything I need for post-workout, including creatine and hydrolyzed whey protein. Plus it mixes easy and has a thick consistency that makes it more like a milkshake!
