Great PNVs!!!,
Before purchasing any prenatal vitamin (PNV) I did a lot of research. Rainbow Light prenatal pack with both the Prenatal One MV and the DHA 250 is the best out there. It contains everything you will need; it even has probiotics and ginger to help any stomach issues. Also the DHA is not fishy at all; it smells like oranges and if there is any aftertase at all, it is orange flavored thanks to the orange oil in the pill. They are a little large, but so are any of the other PNVs you will be looking at.

contains 200% vitamin E,
The prenatal tablet has 100% vitamin E and the DHA has 100% E as well. I am just worried that there will be excess vitamin E. Vitamin E will build up in your body. 9 month pregnancy is a long time. I wish there are no VitE in the DHA. A lot of other brands don’t contains VitE in their DHA. I don’t understand why Rainbow has to add VitE in their DHA softgel. To keep the shelf life longer? I will toss this one away and buy DHA from other brand. If amazon put the ingredient picture here, I won’t buy this product

TOO MUCH VITAMIN E MIGHT BE DANGEROUS DURING PREGNANCY!!!!,
I went online to find a good DHA prenatal vitamin to go along with my Rainbow Light prenatals. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Rainbow Light made their own DHA & saw that you could even buy it packaged with their regular prenatals. So, I bought the 60-day supply and have taken all but 1 pill. Well, I was a little concerned that there was 100% of daily recommended Vitamon E in BOTH the prenatal AND in the DHA, so I asked my doctor about it yesterday. Aparently, 60 IUs of Vitamin E (which is what I have been getting by taking these vitamins that Rainbow Light sells together) is WAY past the level deemed safe for pregnant women. In fact, there have been studies within the past few years linking excesive Vitamin E intake during pregnancy to increase rate of birth defects (especially heart defects) and even stillbirths). I found this incredibly alarming and am bewildered as to why Rainbow Light would market these vitamins together! DO NOT BUY THESE VITAMINS TO USE TOGETHER IF YOU ARE PREGNANT!!!! Please read the labels on your prenatals, talk to your OB, and make sure that you are not getting too much Vitamin E. I plan on contacting Rainbow Light, a company that I have raved about and trusted until now.
