This product is NOT chewable, unless you typically chow down on a gel vitamin. Also, the product description tells you the amount of DHA per serving but does not tell you the serving size. It is 4 pills! I dare anyone to get their toddler to eat 4 oil-filled gelcaps. I tried them myself and couldn’t believe how long I was chewing on the outer coating before I was finally able to swallow. How is it that the same brand can get the same amount of DHA in 1 dropper-ful of oil in the toddler liquid formula?

My daughter likes the flavor well enough, but she spits out the chewy part of the softgel because she says it’s nasty. It’s just as well since it’s made from gelatin. I wish someone made a truly vegetarian chewable DHA option for kids (and adults) who don’t like to swallow pills.

These taste good. My only complaint is that the whole reason I wanted a non-fish source DHA is because I’m vegetarian. If they would just make these without gelatin, they would be perfect. Why Spectrum, why????
