A little background on my skin: It is very sensitive, dry, and acne prone in my t-zone. I like to wear makeup on a daily basis, and when you wash your face with a drugstore cleanser it doesn’t remove all of your makeup. It’s very aggravating to use toner and see left over makeup on your cotton pad. I saw Dr. Sponge reviewed on a youtube video and was intrigued. I almost got the charcoal one for my acne, however decided to go with the soft one for my delicate sensitive skin. It arrived quickly, and I used it the first night that I got it! When you open the package it looks and feels like a little hard rock. Weeeiirrdd. I didn’t use any makeup remover wipes before I decided to wash my face, give this thing a real test! So, I moistened my face, and ran the sponge under the tap for a good while to get it wet and fluffy. I noticed after subsequent uses it doesn’t take as long to get it back to the proper fluffiness. Anyway, I moistened my face, applied the cleanser, and just started massaging my face with the sponge. I would rinse it off after each area of my face – chin- cheeks- forehead, etc. I noticed that it was very soft and smooth on my face, and there was no irritation during the washing. After I was done I gave my face one more rinse of water and patted it dry. I then checked out my handy work in the mirror and was impressed. My skin seemed to glow, and looked very clean. I did the toner test, and to my amazement there was no left over makeup to be found!
Some notes:
It has a string so you can air dry it, and reduce the chances that bacteria will grow on it. (awesome)
If you use it every day it will last for about 3 months
I have been using it every day for about 3 weeks and I have noticed that my acne is hittin the road, and my skin does seem cleaner and brighter. I wish that I would have taken before and after pictures.
I’m seriously thinking about getting the charcoal sponge for my body.

I love this little guy! the texture is so soft and it feels great and my face felt much cleaner! I stopped using it because I bought a Clarisonic shortly after purchasing and that’s just way better but until that I loved them! Recommend for sure!
