Smallest multi-vitamin I’ve found; for someone who has a hard time swallowing pills, a perfect choice, October 25, 2011

I felt I had to comment due to the number of negative reviews based on this product, reviews I greatly disagree with.

I have always had a difficult time taking pills much larger than a typical, Tylenol/acetaminophen caplet. (Not the round shape, but the oval, elongated shape.) The multivitamin I was taking before the Women’s One-A-Day petites was huge, (Nature’s Way Alive! brand) and even with my well-intention to get my daily nutrients, taking it was always an ordeal, requiring the pill to be cut in half (or thirds) and drinking so much water at once I would feel bloated and slightly nauseous.

I’ve been taking the Petites for a week now, and they are perfect. Significantly smaller than the Alive! pills, they are very similar to the size of a Tylenol/acetaminophen caplet, both are almost the same thickness and length. The only difference is the Petites are a bit wider, and in more of an oval shape. (Think of a very tiny oval bar of soap.) Extra width aside, I have no more difficulty taking the multivitamin than a Tylenol/acetaminophen caplet, and my multivitamin has finally become a part of my daily routine without any added inconvenience. They are very easy to swallow

Definitely the smallest adult multivitamin pill I have ever found, and it is manufactured by a highly trusted vitamin manufacturer. Two pills a day gives you the same amount of nutrients of the regular, one pill dosage, and both bottles cost the same for equal amounts of product. (The Petites have 160 tablets, the regular One-A-Days have 80.) I don’t know what other people were expecting, of course they cannot be the size of a birth control pill or baby aspirin, but if you are someone who has always been looking for a smaller multivitamin, this is worth trying. I almost guarantee if you can swallow a typical caplet easily, you can take these with no problem.

As a vitamin these one a days are fine. They have the usual vitamins and minerals one would expect from any vitamin. The selling point is they are petite, most vitamins are horse pills. I have a swallowing issue and have to cut my vitamins in half, or worse, try to get down a chewable, which are pretty nasty. When I saw the advertisement for women’s day petites I was excited, I expected them to be… petite, as in small, as in easy to swallow. These are not petite.

I don’t use one a day so maybe the originals are horse pills, but these pills are still large, and the dosage is now two pills. I just don’t see the point. It’s just as easy to get a regular vitamin and cut it in half, and then those halves would be smaller than one of these. I think as a vitamin they are fine, but they are touting their pill as petite and there I feel they fail.
